You say it's your birthday...

Today is this guy's birthday. He awoke to a serenade by me. In this soulful serenade I told him how at that time I was in labor and of the great pain I went through to have him. I am all about being truthful with the kids. The song just makes it easier to take. However, I was asked to stop singing. Kids... they just don't appreciate the finer things in life.

Charlie had mentioned how much he liked the scavenger hunt we set up for Easter. Then last night he reminded me to hide his presents. Persistence is his specialty. When Charlie came down for breakfast this is what he found....
And the game is on...
Ewwww
He had a blast going through the clues.

Leading him to the 'big' present...
an ipod!

Happy birthday Bobo. You add such joy to our lives. You make us laugh and smile every day. We are so proud of you.

Have a happy day...

another year older but better

Well, yesterday was my man's birthday. He is a godly man, an awesome dad and the best husband ever, for me least. And he still has it 'goin' on'. Last weekend he was taking pictures at Sammy's horse show and he got the digits from a few ladies. The wanted him to take pictures of their kids too. However, one hung around awhile asking questions about the camera and lens. To that lady, I say, 'I'm on to you' and I am not arfraid to break bad like Beyonce does in the movie Obsessed. Just kidding... a little.

Anyway... happy birthday man... I love you. You're the best! And I don't tell you that enough.

Here's a shout out to my girl Rindy. Her birthday was yesterday too. Below is a picture from a couple of years ago. She has long hair here. She is the only person I know that can rock so many different hairstyles long, short and none. Happy birthday to a faith-filled, strong and beautiful woman.

Have a happy day.

What 11???? Where did the time go?

I can't believe my baby girl is 11.

Didn't she just turn 5?

But it was her weekend. Friday, I pulled her out of school early and we went on a long trail ride. Her Grand-daddy had promised to ride with her and that was her gift. It was a beautiful day. She had a great time and even got to do a couple of jumps out in the woods.

When we got home she had a gift waiting for her from her aunt, uncle and cousins in Missisippi. A pack of cool girly stuff. She loved it.

Saturday was more horses. She was in a horse show and won 3 first place and grand champion of her set of classes. What a great birthday surprise.

And on Sunday, her actual birthday she requested lunch at the Golden Colon, I mean Golden Corral. They said happy birthday to her over the speaker system. We finished off the birthday weekend with some ice cream birthday cake.

I am very proud of my baby girl. She is growing up into a beautiful person. She has a heart of gold and makes everyone smile. Happy Birthday Peanut. I love you.

Have a happy day.
