On the blog again

We'll, I'm back. Actually I didn't go anywhere. Just a bit of a sabatical. I was in a bit of a funk as to what to post about. It just seemed as though our days were running together with nothing outstanding. Like in the movie Groundhog Day. Then my brother told me to bake something. So, I did. I made some banana bread. This brought a laugh out of my man. Or McE as he calls himself now. You see, I am always saying 'Don't throw those old bananas out. I'm gonna make banana bread.' And I never do. So, this week when I said I was going to make banana bread McE gave me the look that said 'Seriously'. But I really did make it this time....seriously.
See....
It is ok. I am the only one eating it. Next time I will make it into muffins. The kids may like that better.

And last but not least here are the Friday 5 questions.
  1. Where can you go for a really good bagel, and how do you like yours? Shopper's Food Warehouse... I like blueberry with butter
  2. What is your favorite style of doughnut? Chocolate iced
  3. What’s your favorite flavor of Lifesavers? Pineapple, at least that is what I am remembering from childhood.
  4. What O-shaped breakfast cereals do you like? honey nut Cheerios
  5. How do you feel about onion rings, and where can you get some good ones? I like them. The best ones are at Red Robin, the tower or onion rings.
Well, it is good to be back.
Have a happy weekend.

The banana bread looks great! Warm a slice up and slather it with butter and some marmalade. Or you could put a slice of tomato on it for peanut to like it.

now to the answers

Nowhere, we live in Mississippi, they don't do bagel's down this way.

Boston Cream from the new Dunkin donut. Finially got one of those. I suppose they have bagels, I just never checked and I certainly wouldn't buy one if they have donuts available as well.

red - cherry

fruit loops it is.

The best onion rings are found at Blow Fly Inn in Gulfport Mississippi. The tower at Red Robin is great. They come in second to the Blow Fly. They make them thin and crispy and stack about 3 pounds on a platter. YUM!

And even better, we are going there next week while I work on Back Bay of Biloxi and yes, we will order some rings for the table. I might even take a picture!

OMG, I haven't thought of pineapple lifesavers in ages!

I only like onion rings if they are skinny!
